Message from DNS President Dr. Deb Jaisi
One of the beauties of the Himalayas is that all its essence, i.e., its extracts, merge to form the supreme holy river, the Ganges. Let that be a tethered analogy because destination Delaware, the First State of the world’s only superpower, becomes the merging ground and the new fertile ‘home away from home’ for all of us. Let it be the distinction that a very tenet of our recognition lies in being together and being united amicably. Let it be the realization that unity has unimaginable strength. Let it be the character of all of us who strive steadfastly for DNS and commit to untiring efforts for the better well-being of our society. Let it be the motto that we are united and here will remain united. Let it be a power that overly impossible tasks become possible under the umbrella of DNS.
I am thrilled that the nascent DNS has just come into a living entity with its founding executive board in place and committees in the making. Our bylaws, meant to be the most welcoming of all, strive for a vital balance between shared governance among all bodies and the autonomy of each committee. Plus, it provides the most democratic structure to elect the most capable and promising members for its governance. I have full faith that the bylaws provide an array of wavelengths for any member to exercise righteously towards societal well-being and prosperity and connect others in the society–in and out. Please join me hands that we are committed to turning the DNS into an organization that is dedicated to the good cause for our society and efforts to define it as a model society for the outside– in other states and beyond– to see, realize, and imitate.
